Catherine D. O’Brien
Catherine was admitted to the Virginia bar in 2009. She worked as a local magistrate for two and a half years before joining a local firm in January 2012; she became the first female partner of that firm in January 2015.
Catherine resigned from the firm in August 2019 to take over Helen Phillips’s law practice in historic Abingdon. She regularly practices in Washington County, Bristol City, Smyth County, Russell County, and Tazewell County.
Catherine enjoys reading, the lake, and traveling in her free time, and has visited, among other places, Morocco, Italy, Ecuador, and Nepal.
